Come learn more about conservation practices and network with other farm women in your region!
We’ll start this event out at the park and have lunch before a tour of local farms’ cover crop and no-till practices. Hear the lessons learned by Mary Ann and Kurt Kohlmann and daughter Susan Wilson in their first three years of grazing. The family raises steers and chickens and has converted cropland into pasture, improving water quality on the land.
Save the Date: the Women in Sustainable Agriculture Conference is happening October 17-19 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Instead of having our own conference this year, WFAN is coordinating the Leadership and Advocacy track at this conference, as well as a special intensive and event. Stay tuned for more information on that!
Every few years, a regional women’s network takes the lead in planning a national conference for women in sustainable agriculture (WISA). This year MOSES is taking the lead on planning and WFAN is supporting them in this effort.
