WFAN Offering Plate to Politics Train-the-Trainer Session Prior to WISA Conference
We need more women in leadership roles, and there are countless extraordinary women in food and agriculture who would make great leaders. Plate to Politics leadership training is the needed link. WFAN will provide a pre-conference training to teach you how to hold your own Plate to Politics workshops. The training is being held in conjunction with the 2016 National Women in Sustainable Agriculture Conference. It will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the conference hotel, Doubletree by Hilton in Portland, OR (room TBA). If you are interested in participating, please click here to register. The cost is $50 per person. Space is limited to 20, so don't delay!
In this training you will learn how to provide three workshops that are the fundamentals of Plate to Politics: How I Lead, Moving People to Action with Stories, and Blueprint for Change. We will also provide you with data on why women-focused leadership training is needed and help you set your next steps for hosting a Plate to Politics workshop in your community.
This training is provided by the Women, Food and Agriculture Network with support from National Farmers Union.
