2016 WFAN Annual Conference Call for Workshop Proposals Is Open
WFAN is looking for some fantastic workshop proposals to round out our 2016 annual conference program! The submission form is at this link. The 2016 conference is Nov. 4 and 5, 2016, at Lied Lodge and Conference Center, Nebraska City, NE. Our conference theme is Women and Permaculture: Making a Living in Harmony with the Land. Our keynote speaker is Karryn Olson-Ramanujan, a noted permaculture educator, consultant, and supporter of women as leaders in the movement. You can learn more about the conference and Karryn at this link.
These workshops all take place on Saturday, and only 9 spots are available. The workshop sessions are either are 60 or 75 minutes long, and as always at our conferences, we prefer participatory formats. If your proposal is similar to someone else's, we may ask you to co-present. Presenters receive $25 off their registration fees.
Because our conference theme is permaculture, we encourage proposals that fit with this topic, but we also are looking for proposals on production and marketing, leadership, conservation and other topics relevant to women in healthy food and farming.
The deadline for workshop proposals is midnight CDT on June 30, 2016. We look forward to hearing from you! If you have questions about submitting a proposal, you can get in touch with Leigh Adcock, Conference Coordinator, at this email.
