16th Fall Harvest Gathering for Women in Sustainable Agriculture Is Nov. 13-15

The 16th Annual Fall Harvest Gathering for Women in Sustainable Agriculture is set for November 13-15, 2015, at Cedar Valley Resort near Whalan, MN. Click here for more information and a registration form.

Get to know other women who care passionately about farming and the earth! Some of us farm and some of us want to farm but we all enjoy sharing and learning from each other at the annual Fall Harvest Gathering for Women in Sustainable Agriculture. Join us for our 16th gathering and connect with kindred spirits in a beautiful setting right on the Root River! All women are welcome.

Cooperate [koh-op-uh-reyt], verb, to work or act together for a common purpose or benefit. Competition is the norm in today’s economy, but is it the best path to a just and sustainable food system? Join us to hear from women who have found success in cooperation. Learn about innovative ways that women are joining together to gain access to land, market their products, and create local food buying opportunities. There will be lots of time for discussion and maybe some new partnerships will arise before the end of the weekend!big-timber

Cost: $120 before Nov. 6, $135 after and walk-ins. Fee includes lodging and some meals. Saturday-only fee $80.

We will be sharing several large, modern cabins with multiple bedrooms at Cedar Valley Resort (http://cedarvalleyresort.com/). To keep costs low, we ask that you share rooms.

Conference organizers and participants bring in all food and beverages for the weekend. Cabins have kitchen facilities. Feel free to bring your own favorite foods and beverages for breakfasts and Saturday lunch. Saturday dinner is a potluck. Please bring soups and stews, breads, cheese, desserts, drinks and other foods to pass. Light snacks, breakfast offerings, and Friday chili dinner are provided. Please bring a donation for the silent auction, and your musical instrument for songs around the campfire!
