If you live or own land in Missouri you're invited to participate in a Women Caring for the Land meeting this August. Have you purchased, or inherited your farmland or are you widowed and managing that land alone or with siblings? If you own more than 40 acres, with some in cropland, we invite you to have lunch with us to meet and talk with other women like you. Women from USDA agencies will be available to answer your questions about the environment and farming and share how they can help. The program, sponsored by the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Women, Food and Agriculture Network (WFAN) is called Women Caring for the LandSM.
Past attendees say:
“If I’d known it would be this much fun, I’d have asked my friend to come!”
Registration includes a light meal at each meeting. Because of our unique discussion format, we limit attendance (sorry, no walk-ins). We do ask for a $10 registration fee to secure your space and help defray food and venue expense; please respond by 4 p.m. Friday, August 16th.
