Women Caring for the Land: Aberdeen, South Dakota

  • K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library 215 Southeast 4th Avenue Aberdeen, South Dakota (map)

We know you are interested in building your soil, improving water quality, and making a home for wildlife on your farm. Nearly half the farmland in the Midwest is currently owned or co-owned by women; you can make a difference!   And you can accomplish your goals all the while making your farm more profitable. That’s what this meeting is about! The peer-to-peer, informal discussion format, facilitated by women conservationists, is designed to help you learn from other women landowners and resource professionals—and you can share your thoughts with them.

  • Coffee, sign-in, resource sharing at 8:30--meeting begins promptly at 9 a.m.

  • Free lunch and afternoon field tour. The field tour will involve a short walk into a field, so please bring appropriate footwear and clothing.

  • Return to meeting site for evaluation, dessert and wrap–up by 3 p.m.

Space is limited.

We’ve learned that a group of about 20 women is an ideal number for each meeting. There is no cost, but we do need women to register no later than July 11 so we can have enough food, without any waste. Please register below for the meeting of your choice.
