Come learn more about conservation practices and network with other farm women in your region!
Amy Fenn left her Madison library job in favor of tromping around a 40-acre hilltop trying to turn a depleted hayfield and unmanaged woods into a savanna/silvopasture. This is her 3rd year of grazing, fencing and building an off-grid home.
Women Caring for the Land was designed by Women, Food & Agriculture Network to serve women farmland landowners who are interested in learning more about conservation. Research has shown women value women-only meetings with their peers. These events provide women landowners and farmers the opportunity to network with their peers and learn from resource professionals. For these reasons, we do request that the early portion be women only. We do recognize though that men are also interested in learning more about conservation opportunities, therefore they are welcome to join for the potluck lunch and afternoon farm tour. Registration/networking for the day starts at 8:30 a.m.
