Come learn more about conservation practices and network with other farm women in your region! Chelsea Chandler and Scott Laeser run Plowshares & Prairie Farm in Argyle, where farming, conservation, and a sense of community are fused together. The farm includes a community supported agriculture (CSA) program with certified-organic produce, a small flock of laying hens, native habitats undergoing restoration and a historic barn available for weddings. Learn about: growing certified organic produce, running a CSA from a rural location, integrating land conservation and stewardship into a farm plan, and finding balance in life, family, and career.

Women Caring for the Land was designed by Women, Food & Agriculture Network to serve women farmland landowners who are interested in learning more about conservation. Research has shown women value women-only meetings with their peers. These events provide women landowners and farmers the opportunity to network with their peers and learn from resource professionals. Men are welcome to join for the farm tour portion, however the learning circle space is for women only.
