The 10th Annual Fall Harvest Gathering for Women in Sustainable Agriculture will be November 13-15, 2009 Big Timber Cabin, Cedar Valley Resort, Whalan, MN.

Lodging is limited to 58 beds, so register early! Cost for the whole weekend, including lodging, a casual Friday supper and late-night snacks, is $110 if received by Nov. 2, $120 after or walk-in. Saturday-only fee is $80. Here is the agenda:

Friday evening

•5 – 7 p.m. – Check-in and registration.

•Mind map--where an individual takes post-its and writes some group they are involved with or what they do on each one.  At a later time we take a look at them and group them to similar categories.

•Set out silent auction items. We will also be setting out the weaving activity and explain it so people can do it at their leisure.

•Sara Thomsen speaks on reflections of the past years and changes, and leads us in song.

 

Saturday

•Breakfast until 9 a.m.

•9 –11 a.m. – introductions and web activity with ball of yard thrown from person to person as we all interconnect.

•Sara continues with song.

•Stacey Brown will do an overview or recap of the last 10 years.

•Noon – Potluck lunch.

•1 – 2 p,m.– Quiet time or Sara.

•2:15 – 3:15 p.m. – Presentation on “What people around the world are doing to change pesticide usage.”

•4 p.m. – Reflection questions about moving forward.

•6 p.m. – Soup and bread supper.

•7 p.m. – Lilac Weaver presents “From Conversations to Partnering With Nature.”

•Evening – Firepit/singing/drumming.

 

Sunday morning

•Breakfast until 9 a.m.

•Honor our chosen Supporter of Sustainable Agriculture.

•10 – 11 a.m. – Inga pulls it all together—connectedness.

•11 a.m. – silent auction wraps up, items awarded.

•11:30 a.m. – Clean up facility, pack up, and depart by noon.
